ok checked the fuel shut off seems to be working just fine...but whats that other gizzmo on the side of the pump...i took it out an hotted it up an it didn't do a thing ...shouldn't it move or somethen?????? OH it seems to be starting harder the cooler it gets up here inPA. i'v never had to wait for the intake heater but it started harder this morning then normal, an this evening when i left my bros house i let the wait to start light go out an it started right up wtf

you should always wait for the grid heater to warm up

stupid question. how long does the "wait to start" light stay on for. i have held the key and its never gone off for me. i have held it for over a few minutes before. sorry for interupting the chat

depends on how cold it is. one a nice morning with the ol girl plugged in it is on for 3-5 sec. not plugged in and blizzard, 15 plus seconds. I believe the engine will hold that heat for two minutes. On mine i can also hear the heater grid cycle, just a click and then the light turns of

yea i know i should but the ol girl normally starts right up...still ticks me off if thats the problem, but it doesn't explain why it starts hard when it's 60 degs out, f-it i'm gonna buy a pump if that dont fix it then she can just start a little funny from now on

it might be just a problem with the grid heater. if that thing aint kickin on then the ol girl might not be to happy in the mornin

it's not just in the morning tho seems to be whenever the truck sits for like 15 min it does it, but for what it's worth i'll check the heater after work tomarrow
