Timing Advance Instructional
just currious on afew tips to make things go smoothly, i heard that the lower bolt for the pump can be a pain to get to. also currious the exact purpose and operation of the lock plate and screw on the bottom left of the pump, i've read it needs to be in the "lock" position but i was looking for something abit less vague. and when i do the spring install, when the top half of the VE44 is off would it be easier to bump the timing? and i assume the tilt direction of the pump would be away from the engine correct?
Thanks for the help and the site is amazing, i've already read so much that i'm over flowing and diesel smoke is rolling out of my ears. or that might be brain matter oozing out... been glued to the site, however i was warned and read the words of wisdom came from rswords that this site was very addictive
