well chris... you've given me an idea... i'm going to use my dashes 3 pod as a template and i'm going to make a fully enclosed and contoured dash mount... where did you pick up an actual 3 pod? or is that one of those universal ones?

Got all new upper and lower ball joints and carrier bearing put in today, rides much better. But don't get it, I put new rotors, pads, upper-lower ball joints and there's a new drag link on the truck and there's still a poping noise when turnig hard left or right slowley.
Also have all gagues hooked up and working now!

Would need to hear it to say what it is, but it could be your tire rubbing on something or a clearance issue. If your truck 4 wheel drive check the hub bearings.

no its 2wd. No its a pop, the tires do rub but I can tell the differen between the tires rubbing and the suspension poping when turning hard left or right.

I'd have to hear it.. have someone else drive the truck slow and walk beside it, see if you can narrow it down.

i've read about the actual mounting flange for the steering box cracking... this could cause a potential pop, but would also cause abit of play or steering wander... another possibility is in the gear box itself... it's a reciprocating ball system...idk what causes it to pop; but it can... i did the seal replacement kit on the spool valve and the input; after that the truck would pop turning hard to the left or right and turning to the right it'd actually act like it "unscrewed"... needless to say i put a new steering box on it and problem solved

9-17-09 My Air Dog 100 showed up today!

Ya I plan on replacing the front coils and all new a-arm bushings, that should take care of it hopefully.

bushings and springs wont hurt in the long run but my gut feeling is it wont solve the problem... i'm still going to stand by the steering box is making the noise, kinda sounds like it travels down the whole frame? the bushings will be cheaper than the steering box... see what it does for you and then the springs will just make the girl sit pretty again hope you figure it out

very nice fuel system you have there... i said it beofre and i'm going to say it again... i need me one of those
