Why do you think it is bad? If the truck starts up, and shuts off then its fine.

If not, then do exactly what RSWORDS said do. You should hear a click with 12V.

Is your pump cranked with stock injectors?

If you crank up a pump (especially with an intercooled truck) with stock injectors, it puts a lot of pressure on the pump. With the small intercooled injectors, the pump won't flow enough fuel to release some of the pressure, and blows the tip off of the shut off solenoid.

One fix is to get bigger injectors, and that will relieve the pressure on the pump. The other solution is to back off of the fuel screw.

I would go for the bigger injectors.
