Default Turbo Questions

I have a really good question. I got a hold of a 6.7 turbocharger for free. I am pretty sure the whole turbo will not work, but will the compressor housing, compressor, or any other parts work?

Pretty sure the shaft size will be bigger. Can tear it down and do some measuring.

I really doubt it but there is only one way to find out!!!

I would get it. Look it and yours over very close. Then if it does not work start horse trading!!! You would be surprised what you can work up to if you look for good deals and keep flipping stuff... Like a low milage Sivler 62...

Are you saying you'd trade the turbo I have for that one? How low is the mileage? Is the turbo in good shape? Does it spool quickly? Is that a good one for towing?

I believe there was a thread on the TDR about using this turbo on a first gen. They were trying to figure out something (electronically) up to get the vanes to work.
