Hell with temps that low you still have alot of power in the pump! Get a 3200 spring, add some power with th full power screw and you can pick up some more MPG's as long as you keep your foot out of it. Also bump your timing about 1/8" and you will pick up some more milage

For comparison During a WOT run my 1500* Pyro pegs out at about 40mph If i run it out to 80 it takes 3 or 4 seconds to come back off the peg You have ALOT more room to play with that pump if you want.... its fun...

But my MPG sucks because I drive like an idiot

And back to your original post... I'll answer in red...

I am going to be adding hydroxy Or h2 o2 to this truck to see if any gains in mpg are achieved. I am not expecting much mpg but do expect a great drop in particulates and overall emissions.

I am open to suggestions to make better power and mpg on a 93 intercooled 12 valve with 200k. It has a getrag 5sp and is totally stock.

What i have done so far:

1 turned up the ve pump

2. ported air horn ( reduced egt 65 deg)

3. added egt guage

4. servicd rear, trans, engine

Plans in near future.

1. Take head off and extensivly port exhaust.
Some Good Power to be found here

2. custom build intercooler and upgrade piping. ( I fabricate from griffin high flow)
A 7.3 Power Stroke with the metal ends is an AWESOME upgrade for these trucks

3. rebuild getrag or transplant 4r100 or 4l80e in ( I hate chrysler autos and i already have the other 2 i rebuild autos)
guess we got that fixed already huh?

4. Rebuild pump and get bigger injectors
Some 435's will do you awesome. I would not buy anything smaller, not enough of a jump

Where I need the help

1. What governer spring? I want good power but dont know what the old 12v will handle.
3200, anything over that and your not making any power

2. What company to get the injectors from? I want good hp and about 3o-350 and 600 ftlbs. I read alot of companys screw the injectors up. I would like affordable but also efficient.
New Era, they are a sponcor here

3. Any other tricks I need to know about?
Do a GDS 60mm Compresser upgrade to your turbo to help those injectors. Also Bump your timing

Thanks alot for the help. You can follow my progress on youtube ( same user name) and I will post my progress here.

Thanks Rob

rswords is telling you right on those 435's. those intercooled trucks love big injectors. powerstroke intercoolers are a great upgrade to .

If your gonna go through all the work of porting the head, i don't think i'd drop the dough on a single charger. I think a nice set of twins will put you where you want to be. plenty of air, low egts.

If you need a powerstroke intercooler i have an extra one.

Default hood stack

Have you considered a hood stack?

77ctd Thanks for the offer, What do ya want for it?

Overload no I dont think I would do a hood stack. 4 or 5 " out the back would be cool.
Besides the black out the back is great anti-tailgating tool.
