I honestly don't understand why but my truck was losing prime and I found a leak in the return line, fixed it and it stopped losing prime. I still don't get it

shes fixed!! found a tiny leak that i had overlooked in the line between the pump and the block. it can sit for a week and start right up immediately!! i love it! thanks for the help guys!!!

I had a similar problem, my only did this on occasion. My problem turned out to be bad lift pump, the thing wasn't moving much, if any fuel at all. I was having to bleed at the injectors. A new lift pump from NAPA ( about $65 if I recall) fixed the problem. I've heard these ve pumps can actually pull their own fuel, just not enough to start. Good luck.
