Default Really bad thick white/blue smoke

A friend and i did the full power adjustment on his 93 tonight and everything went smoothly only went 1 turn got the truck running and reset the idle and everything was great. Driving home and the truck wouldnt build normal boost amounts and was very sluggish so first thought was bad fuel filter but turns out it wasnt. Wen driving i noticed heavy white/blue smoke and truck sputtered and had no power. We let the truck idle and tons of blue smoke but when revved it turned snow white but still smelt like diesel not oil or coolant so i checked lift pump and it was a steady drip and had zero prime pressure. It has a hard start with white smoke so my question is with the full power adjustment would this kill the lift pump from so much more fuel so rapidly? Its original with 330xxx miles or did something catastrophically go wrong that we havent noticed? Has anyone had this problem? Please help so stumped

Check the turbo for oil leak

Turbo is fine no shaft play or leaks

Well, shaft play does not necessarily determine whether or not the seal is leaking inside the turbo, I believe.

He's getting air in the fuel system and not enough fuel pressure you idiots sorry just really wanted to say you idiots. Anyway there's the problem. Ever have to bleed the injectors on your truck? When you do you get blue n white smoke.

Okay but it's NOT a turbo problem you guys. A bad seal will not cause it to run badly or smoke. I worked on a 90 with toast oil seals in the turbo, ran like a champ n never smoked. Started after sitting 2 years without the grids working it started easier then my p-pump and my truck at the time was warm.

yeah hes run it dry more than once and after bleeding injectors and getting it started it smoking blue/white but this problem got to the point where the truck would smoke out a 4 lane highway and causing dead stop traffic and i ended up towing him home. could this have caused any further damage or potentially hurt the IP?

also would the sudden rapid increase in fuel kick the lift pump? he never had an issue until we did he full power adjustment and 10 mins down the road it all started
