welp just got done working on the truck got a new lift pump, fuel filter, oil change and bled all the air out of the lines. it wouldnt start. the fuel that squirt out of the injector during bleeding was pure white. it looked like someone dumper 10 gallons of milk in the truck. turns out the diesel was diluted with water (was free from a buddy) and thats what caused it to run like sh*t. we dropped the tank, drained it, completely dried out the fuel lines and injectors and started over wit 9 gallons of fresh diesel from the pump. after another hour of bleeding we got clean fuel. it started right up and ran better than ever before and more power than we can notice after the full power adjustment! glad to have his truck running again thanks everyone for their help!! much appreciated!

now i have a problem with my own truck, after using 5 gallons of that fuel. i put the fuel in on Wednesday, everything was fine but after i put 60$ worth of fuel in from the pump, my water in fuel light stays on and when i rev my truck at around 1800rpm it back fires pretty loud but no odd colored smoke? anyone ever heard anything like this?

I would not run it with that fuel any more, with the water in the fuel when the IP pressurizes the fuel to inject it the water that is mixed in can very easily turn to steam due to the very high pressures in the IP, not good for your IP at all, steam makes a very poor lubricant . That and water doesnt burn too well, sux due to the ridiculous price of #2 fuel but cheaper than a new IP in the long run.

I had a new pump put on my 90, didn't want to start at all, it poured white smoke when cold, then when warm it just hazed blue and fuel smell burned your eyes, it sputtered and backfired, started a little better when warm, but sounded weird. People said sucking air, but a mechanic told me my timing was way off. I'm gonna try to adjust it and see.
