6' and plenty of leg room as long as I'm not sprawling out like it's my lazy-boy.

Sounds like you need to get rid of that thing behind your seat.

do 2nd gen seats bolt right in or is there any custom modifications that need to be made? after i finish my frame and the kdp im startin on the interior. probly strippin it to inspect the floor pans then some sounds deadining material then new carpet. has anyone tried any type on roll on bed liner for the floors? im just wanting a good moisture barrier between the floor and carpet and curious if this would work. btw anyone wanting a good roll on bed liner herculiner roll on is very good im removing my inner fenders and doing them in herculiner and that stuff is very tough. thanks

ive been thinking seat swap for some time not because of leg room but my stocker is shot is the second gen seat close to the same width as a first gen , had one from a chevy here but it was 5 1/2 inches to narrow. Thanks in advance

I really think making a riser to raise the seat up 4-5" higher will give you allot more leg room. I will do my best tomorrow to test that theory (I had a double spinal fusion L4-L5 and L5-S1 last Thursday) and I may not be able to do it that early but I will do my best.

Can someone give me the measurement from the top of the seat bracket to the bottom of the gas and brake pedals???

I can agree that the original seats leave something to be desired. I put the 60/40 out of a 2000 Ford F150 and fabbed up some Allthread to support the extra mounting points and I sit up substantially higher with more legroom. Dodges in the junkyards around here are pretty hard to find, but there's a bunch of wrecked Fords. Not sure what that means, but they are out there and easy to swap in. And fit well, too!

There's just not that much room to begin with. I never really noticed it when the '91 was my only truck but now I also have a '95 Club Cab 3500 and the lack of space is noticable. But since I bought the '91 way back in '91 I still love her and will always keep her regardless of any shortcomings.
