Getrag to nv4500?
#11
Well when I resently found out who he had do all the work on the truck I when's back over everything the so called mechanic had done because I wouldn't trust this guy to was a car let alone work on one. I had always planned on putting an nv4500 in and a better clutch but recent events have made me move this mod to the top of my to do list. Anyone have opinions on what clutch to run? I'm open to any suggestions, just tell me what clutch and why you would run it

Yea, I think my 93 is gonna end up with a nv5600. My getrag still works fine, but its showing its age. For a clutch, Ive had great luck with Val Air. What kind depends on power and how you use the truck. Some people dont like dual disk for towing, some do. I ran a dd in my 05, and towed over 20k lbs with no issues. Also did boosted line lock launches. To me it shifted faster than the sb's Id driven. Plus, val air is less than an hour from me and they are a good bunch of guys.

Well it's my dd and I rarely tow much but I'd like to be able to tow if I need to. I don't just want a smoke blowing turd if you know what I mean. As far as dual disc or single I haven't driven any dual disks so I really don't have an opinion and am open to any suggestions. I plan to make around 250-300hp with it. Whatever clutch I go with I want it to last and not have to replace it for a l
