Default Lift pump or plugged filter?

Before I head to the parts store, my truck runs fine when wide open but when it goes to an idle to stop at a stop sign or turn into a driveway, it will stall out. Talking with a mechanic one night he said that it sounds like a lift pump going out but I still have full fuel when wide open. Does that sounds right or just a fuel filter?

what is your idle set at. it should be right around 750 rpms.

second look into your OFV. it could be worn and allowing excess fuel pressure back to the tank.

Idles around 400. What's the OFV? I haven't heard that acronym.

OFV is overflow valve. But like turbo said, turn the idle up. Should be 750-800 in drive with a/c on.
