Default 2nd Gen project

Well i just sold my first gen dodge, kind of missing it already, was running at peak and was good runner, slush box of auto was only thing scaring me, So now i picked up a second gen, regular cab 2wd one ton with a nv4500, got it for parts price, already located a donor truck that the 12valve is going in, just having some issues, one is its been run on bailing wire and silicone, to keep it together, I got it home after driving it 300 miles ran good could tell it was running on lean side, but the whole thing shimmed all over the road at 85 so i looked it over after 50miles in the trip noticed smell of diesel (raw) 3 of the six injectors had silicon smeared around them 2 had no leaks 1 was hemorrhaging diesel, what crazed moron uses silicon to stop an injector from leaking!! so limped home, next day i tore it down, noticed pieces of wire holding some stuff to gether (shut down solenoid, throttle linkage, cruise control) was at least few yards of wired hold stuff together, never would have known unless really tore into it, oh and the egr setup is now gone completely, fairbodied truck two whisky dents on it but stout, after hunting down the parts to fix it right and removed all the injectors and checking lines she is back together, no silicone or bailing wire at all now, fuel plate been ground down, afc turned in just alittle rough on the cold start up, kind of sputters but after 10 minutes it clears up, has new filters, Fuel Return valve, oil change. but thinking the in tank pump might be failing or is there one?

well, got to tearing into the prefilter today to check that, well it was the pre filter for sure, had nice chunks of red and white paint flakes, sounds to me some one was syphioning **** off there bulk tank w/ out a filter...damn the simple things, also bunch of black ****, my friend said it might be whats left of diesel eating bacteria, <--i have heard such thing but also very harmful gritty ****, but after all that it runs waaaayy better, little stumble yet, waiting for my pump to get in and see if that will make things run better, after about 15min running its fine..and will roast the rear duals off when 2nd to 3rd getting into it heavy scared the hell out the misses getting it to powerslide out of town, old tires anyways, getting down to killing all the gremlins now.....
