Default 47re tranny

my trans has been doin some quick shifts after it warms up it shifts 1-2,2-3 b4 i can even turn a corner anyone else have an isue like this in the past? its a 47re it was rebuild 60k ago b4 i bought the truck just recently started doing this any ideas would be greatly apreceated!

How's your TV cable adjusted?

Seems like my 1-2-3 shifts are all controlled by that.

i have no idea how it's adjusted, nor do i know how to adjust it, so i wouldnt know if it was good or not!..ill take any know how on the cable adjust!!.. someone was tellin me about adj the tranny bands, I do alot of towing so he said they could have loosend up!!?? i have no idea when it comes to trannys, its all china to me!

adjusting the bands could be very bad if your not positive on what your doing

with the engine shut off get under the truck and get a buddy to slowly push the fuel pedal to the floor you should see the leaver on the trans to move accordingly with the pedal at wide open throtle the leaver should should have moved all the way

fluid was the first thing i checked!.. nice link alot of good info on there im going to play with the cable tommorow. see how i make out

hey sorry its been raining over here for a few days I played with the cable this morning and it worked out awsome truck shifts smooth, its not quick shifting any more!! Im pumped!!
