Engine Adapter Plate Differences?

Engine Adapter Plate Differences?
Since I'll be putting in a Nv5600 out of a 2004, into my 96' that had a 47RE, do I need to get a different adapter plate? I just recently noticed while looking at some online, some versions are "dished" like mine, and some are not.
Do I need to replace my adapter plate with one out of a manual, is that the non-dished version I am seeing? and if so, what year trucks can I use the adapter plate from?
