Default pulled head any thoughts on rebuild or not?

Well i pulled the head off the engine today and am a little worried about if i should run it or not with out a rebuild. all the cylinders look pretty good except for number 3. there's some obvious signs of wear in it. there's a few wear marks on the cylinder wall but i can barley catch only 2 of them with my finger nail. and i can barley catch any of a lip at the top of the cylinder telling me there probably wasn't to much more then 100-120 thousand miles on this engine and it rotates freely no binding or play. not sure if i should have it rebuilt or if it would be fine to keep running for a long time. the blow by tube isn't all gummed up from oil it looks pretty clean.

I don't have a lot of money to do this swap right now so that's why i'm contemplating on if i need to have it rebuilt or not. any thoughts on if its okay or a ticking time bomb ready to go off right after the install

I wouldn't rebuild unless a compression check warranted it.

hone it a little and it will run for a long time like that, it will just be a little low on a comp test on that cylinder

well i decided to fully disassemble the engine and its a good thing i did. number 3 piston was definatly rubbing on the cylinder wall. not sure if i can reuse it or not gonna have to ask the local cummins guru if hes got any extra ones laying around
