i was wondering what input shaft was on my 94 dodge cummins 12v i have a 5 speed nv4500HD 4x4 and was wanting to throw a nv5600 on it i was wondering if it was a 1 1/4 or a 1 3/8

Your Nv4500 has a 1 1/4" input shaft. Early model Nv5600's also had a 1 1/4" input shaft. The 2001.5 and newer Nv5600's have the 1 3/8" shaft.

 

oh ok i want to remove my nv4500 and replace it with the nv5600 also we will be putting the nv4500 in my buddys 95 2500 cummins and swaping his auto trans with my nv4500
