I think I have a tranny temp sensor issue. Shifts in and out of OD and or lock up repeatedly when cold. I don't even have to move the throttle pedal for it to do it. Once finally warmed up it stays in gear correctly. Gets better as temp rises. Its a 98 12valve 47re. supposedly was rebuilt bout 70,000 miles ago. I serviced it and adjusted the bands. Pan was clean except for some normal clutch material. No brass,,aluminum or hard part material. When it jumps in and out, its firm,,no slipping in and out. thats why I think it temp sensor. I've heard there's a resistor or some type of repair that can be done. I 'd appreciate any advice on how AND where the trans temp switch is. Can I bypass it or wire around it.
