Truck starts but almost have to run it like a old carbureted gasser, have to hold 1/4 throttle and fires right up and then idles fine. Just wondering if this could be as simple as adjusting the fuel shut off solenoid rod? Didn't want to go tearing into anything until I got some input.

What is your idol at should be 750-850 in gear with ac on. Some trucks are that way

It is alittle on the low side, no "in gear" check do to it being a 5 speed but it is only at 600 w/ ac on.

Is it only until it fires and idles for a few because i had a 95 12v that did the same thing but that was because it was dumping enormose amounts of fuel.. is yours trned up?

Yea just until it fires, then it idles on its own fine, stock injectors but fuel plate is custom ground.

A lot of guys run a choke cable or some kind of cable from throttle linkage to the inside the truck so you can warm it up a little better. I had the same problem but i looked into it and found i had a wire loose on my fuel heater. I hooked that back up and it took care of the problem.
