For real, he reminds me of my one supervisor. Everything he does is in caps, corporate has gotten on him afew times for his aggressive tone in his e mails
. I was waiting for him to start mf'in everything like my supervisor too hahahaha
And to be helpful, the TPS doesn't need tested but when it is replaced it needs to be checked and set to spec. What the spec is... Someone else will have to tell you that, and I guess it's pretty common to have to bore out the mounting holes in the TPS to get the desired spec.

I would check voltage frist to see if it needs replaced. Save couple hundred bucks. I checked, cleaned set to proper voltage on mine and it works like brand new. Is worth doing before you buy a new one, just a little time some contact cleaner and some silicone. Check this web page bout half way down.

ok guys a little more help and advise is needed. I went out and bought a new multimeter and a TPS. Got home and checked the old TPS and it measured 1.45 - 3.65 and the new one measured .28 - 2.88. neither one is what it should be. What do I do?
you could "backprobe" the connector by carefully jamming a fine, but ridgid piece of solid wire (fine paperclip might work but a blunt sewing needle prob better) under the rubber gasket behind the terminals in the plug to get your readings. it will seal again when you take it out as long as you are carefull not to damage the rubber.

Start by taking your old tps and knock out the two metal set pins. Then drill those holes out as big as you can. Put tps back on and rotate tps toward the firewall for max voltage gain. If that works then get your money back.
You really need to clean frist and then set the voltage. I drilled the holes and set the voltage and still did not shift into OD like it should and would shift out driving on flat ground. So then I cleaned it and reset voltage to .095 and all was good.
