Default MANUAL PROBLEM

I may be purchasing a 95 12v dually that is a manual for 2000. Figured couldnt go wrong there. I know for a fact that the clutch is out of it, but the guy says that the tranny gets stuck between 4th and 5th. Would anybody know what could cause this? Any info or advice would be great. Thanks Guys

It probably needs a new mainshaft, bearing and 5th gear nut. The first one I rebuilt for my friend was due to 3rd gear syncro being bad, when I got in there the main shaft was shot. he already had a bearing and syncro set and then bought a new mainshaft on ebay with washer and nut. The second one I went thru was mine, I bought it stuck in fifth gear. It had the updated mainshaft, the new design updated washer split in half and caused the shift fork to not travel. It cost me 75 dollars to fix and I paid 1000 for the truck..

Thats some good news. Also when did dodge come out with the digital dash? Im a first gen guy and hardly look into things like this. Thanks again guys.

What do you mean digital dash? 98-02 the dash had the odometer digital. My 3rd gen 1500 has a digital odometer and the gauges look analog but they are all ran off the computer serial data wires..
