Default poof. white smoke

about 2 weeks ago i had my timing adjusted to 16.5, 60lb valve springs installed, and 4k gov springs installed by a highly recomended local shop.
i was pulling away from a stop light, i shifted at about 3100 rpm and continuous white smoke and immediate loss of power, i thought it was my head gasket at first, but as soon as i pulled over n got out i realized it smelled like raw fuel. that made me think the timing could have slipped. the next morning it wouldnt even start. had a buddy tow it home were its sitting now. it may have nothing to do with the timing at all, im no expert. what do u think? any suggustions?

the truck has no fuel plate afc adjusted, bhaf. 5inch exhaust. 4k gsk, 60lb valve springs, timing set to 16.5. stock everything else....

X2 on timing. Please remember that while it could be contributed to something the shop did, most likely its a one time thing and should not reflect on the shop. I have never had one slip (knock on wood), but besides properly cleaning the shaft and using correct torque specs...your at the mercy of luck

Happens alot with the p pump gear when you go messing with timing. They arent keyed to the shaft like a VE so its not unusual.
