iv got a 95 cummins 3500 dually, tranny rebuild around 3k ago and for some reason if its a cold start or it sits for more than an hour or so, and you start her up put her in drive she wont move rev it up a lil and it slowly starts to move then no problems if you let it idle for a couple mins before tying to move it has no problem tranny shifts like a dream torque converter locks amazing is it dumb to think the torque converter could be draining when sitting then filling when it warms up or i rev it a lil? thanks

Could be converter drain back or sticking valves. May sound dumb but have you checked the fluid level?

my truck does a very similar thing. dodge trannys dont allow fluid to flow in park. so when you start the truck put it in neutral while she is warming up kinda a pain in the butt but it will allow your TC to fill and take off when you put it in drive. and these trannys have crappy drain back, not so hot internal sealing in stock form.
