Default how would you make a nv4500 bullet proof

k we have a 98 12v 2x4 dually work horse with minor mods dynomite fuell plate and south bend clutch exhaust and intake. Ive broke the NV4500 3 times first 2 times we lost 5th gear and now we lost 3rd and 4th gear. So now we want to have it done right so i dont have to take it out again. Im going to take it to a transmission builder cause i dont have time or a place to take it apart my self and i like warrantees im not sure where im gona take it yet but i live in denver so if anybody knows a real good shop let me know. but we want to order a bullet proof transmission parts kit and i dont know what to order and i have about 1000-1500 to spend. this truck is a dedicated trailer towing machine and it pulls loads of about 7k all the way up to 25k sometimes up and down I70 so it has to be tough. Let me know what you guys think please

if you lost 3-4 both then you broke the main shaft...seen that happen a few times

i can get you one with the newer fully splined updated main shaft and 5th gear with a 12 month 12k mile warranty inside your budget with exchange shipping might put it over budget but wouldnt be by much i dont think....pm me if your interested

ok i found a guy in denver A C transmission he is the guy that builds all of FIVE R TRUCKS trannys so im confident e knows his way aound the NV4500, he said he wuld put a updated main shaft and a updated 5th gear and fix the ring nut for good for $1400 and he said it would be pretty hard to break after that ATS wanted $2400. so i almost have the tranny out i just need a extra set of hands to finish tomarrow and ill be taking it in on monday and we should have the old 12ver back on the road by thursday i hope
