i have a 1994 dodge 2500 4x4 cummins diesel and it has a 47rh automatic transmission it all the forward gears work great all day long but reverse don't work anyone know what my problem is?

 

broke band or linkage issue? my best guess

 

ok what kind of band like clutch band or shifter linkage

 

could be an out of wak linkage on the side of the tranny or if a band is broke in the tranny it needs taken apart.

 

drop the pan and check the rear band, make sure its adjust right and all together still, there is also a place to check the line pressure to the rear/low servo, you can also check the rear servo for leaks when you pull the vb out, use an air compressor blower nozzle on some of the line pressure holes, the rear/low servo can also flip or break in the bore
