Thanks to all. I took it to Brian Vannest and he did a very minor tune-up. A little fuel on the star wheel & shoved the stock plate forward a little. I now have all the power that I really need (without going nuts). Maybe if I was 20 again, I would be looking for more but, most of my tire smoking days left when I sold my goat after 22 years.

Thanks again guys
Dan

as long has your not pushing to much fuel pluging the wastgate is fine you just need to watch how much boost your pushing mine is pluged have a number 10 fuel plate slid forward afe air cleaner and i get to 38 psi of boost at peak. with the little bit that he is doing he will be fine just pluging it off

drive it for a few days....you will be reposting for more power! once u have the power bug it only gets worse O and i dont recommend blocking the wastegate... engine doesnt run good on turbo parts.... its not guaranteed but why risk it?

1. You obviously havent had very much fuel to a stocker.

3. The "smoke" screw is actually the pre-boost adjustment and in is more fuel before boost and is what puts the fire out "if" you have the fuel to do so.
Well thanks mister Know-it-all. Did you even read the origional post.
1. I believe he's got a bone stocker which doesn't get too much fuel
and he wanted info on what he could do with what the factory gave him.
2. starwheel is technically boost-fuel curve adjustment but if turned forward enough has
direct effect on pre-boost fuel under throttle far-far-far greater than smoke screw
which is how most of us drive around, you know, with the pedal on the right depressed.
3. smoke screw is pre-boost fuel adjustment, and yes in is more fuel, however backing out
the screw cuts fuel and if turned far enough will put the fire out due to lack of fuel.
a little throttle won't even fire it off with a properly adjusted afc unless housing is slid
forward but than again we were talking about a bone stocker weren't we.

Didn't want to overwhelm the newbie with too much info at one time,he was just lookin for a few ponies. By the way did you learn anything new? Keep readin the post on here, lots of good info on here. this is just day 1 stuff mister helper! oh yeah, and sorry about the harsh
return.
