the pumps are different the 12 is mechanical the 24 is electronic so u will probably need engine harness computer and or several of them possibly whole harness cluster so on my recomendation is to buy a wrecked one or get everything out of the same vehicle it all works together that way

Default Engine rebuild question

Hi
Just rebuilding a 6.2 bored to 6.5l with db 4 pump and super charger
I have broke the plastic part on the oil pump drive shaft and cannot get one in the uk
Is this part essential for the wellbeing off the engine
or is it just a guide to fit oil pump drive ! If i dont fit it would there be any catastrophic problems ?????
Kind regards carl

Good afternoon,
got a 02 5.9 24 valve cummins. It started up fine this morning drove for a few miles and parked. Came back a few hours later and it turned over but only stayed running for a couple of seconds. It did that 3 times and now wont start at all. The past week ive noticed it missed a few times, but just figured might have been a hitch with the fuel. My tuner throws a tps sensor code but ive been told that it could be other stuff making that code. Any opinions would bw greatly appreciated thanks
