4wd drive problem
ok guys i got a 97 3500 12v and i noticed that it seems like my front axle is stayin locked. and also i noticed that the little skid plate that covers the 4wd actuator i guess you cna call it that sits on the frotn axle was bent up and snapped the 2 wire connector that sits on the side of it. and what im wondering is, would that cause my problem ? or is that switch just for the 4wd indicator light? thanks
when i first got my truck i kinda had the same problem, mine just wouldnt lock in.
so after finding this out when i needed 4x4 it i wacked the actuator with a rock and it locked in. and it would do it every once and a while after but i would just lock it in and out just to make sure it worked and now it doesnt do it anymore.
before i bought my truck it had been sitting for a long while so i think it was just a froze and needed a work out. hope this helps

But yea the only thing those wires do is illuminate the light on your dash board.
