I own a 96 dodge ram 2500 cummins 12v. This is a good truck and all but that automatic tranny has got to go. it wont last me long with what i have to haul......a 14,000 pound backhoe. Althogh the tranny in my truck now is almost new i dont feel like wrecking it. So if you guys know were to get a decently priced NV4500 transsmisson coversion kit, it would be very much appreciated!!

 

Find a donor truck that's been wrecked youul need the trans steering column guage cluster ecm and pedals then sell the axles and whatever useable parts are left and you should break even

 

yea but thats just the thing i cant find a donor truck anywere around me.

 

Craigslist its a wonderful place a v10 Truck will give you everything but a guage cluster

 

There's a guy advertising everything needed to convert on Rochester NY Craigslist.
