how much it run for rebuilding a p pump? every shop pretty close?

 

depends if pump broke sumthin inside
if not then around 900

 

mine was 2700 to get it rebuildt.. included was labor to take out pump and put back in... havent got the chance to ask what was wrong with it.. but my truck wouldnt idle... ill update you in a bit.

got that right. A rebuilt 215 is about 1100 bucks my cost.

Why does your pump need rebuilding ?

 

P pumps needing to be rebuilt, in my experience, are so rare as to be the last thing I suspect when trying to diagnose any problem. I know sometimes it happens, but I've never personally seen it, and I read about it so rarely that I'd only immediately suspect a pump rebuild was needed if I saw parts hanging out of the side of the pump. In other words, just about no matter what your truck may be doing, a rebuilt pump is probably not the solution. Never say never, but almost for sure.

 

I had mine rebuilt, benched, and added SDX Comp DVs and 5K GSK for $1000 and that included shipping from New Mexico to Missouri
