anything mechanical will fail at some point and if you set a hundred trucks all lined up of each make they'd all fail eventually and they wouldn't all fail for the same reasons but my point was the kdp was a problem they knew of and would've been a simple fix and they didnt do it

That king pin modification is an easy fix! You can google it for a matter of fact! Look at this Diesel Power Mag KDP. And there is nothing wrong with owning a ford! I have worked on cummins and I like my T444E! Just because they made al lot of trucks! Does not mean they're the best. It just means we have an abundance of used Parts. Thats why we Drive FORDS!

seems liek they all have a problem with it. definitly worth looking at. my 12v spews oil from the timing cover. either someone did the dowel pin and did a bad job installing the new seal or the dowel pin launched out and left a hole in the cover... iv been putting off fixing it way to long . hard to break down and work on a truck that never stops running, im used to fixing because you need to to get to work in the morning .

In most cases, that I have heard that it falls into the oil pan. I had to pin fall out in my 91 and of coarse the worst happened and it fell in the gears and snapped the cam. Didnt fall out till 500k plus miles though.

those parts could've made it to a million miles though. its just a little inconvenience and it costs money when it breaks something

you can fix the pin without pulling the timming cover but some people like to pull the timing case bolts out and lock tight them as well because they can work their way out and cause the same problem

Just tab it and loctite the bolts while you're in there.

you just have to pull the fan mount off and used a special guide to drill and tap the timing case and then you put a 1/4 bolt in the hole and it blocks the in from coming out
