I turn the key on and wait for the wait to start to go out it cranks for a while then starts. When it does start it takes a few seconds to come up to idle. If I press the pedal just a little it starts up like it's supposed to. Any ideas as to why?

 

What does you truck normally idle at?

 

Mine, I have to depress the throttle just a little or it does not want to start. I was told it needs to move the shut down to allow it to start??

 

IT is at 800 to 850
