Shifting problem =/
Ok so at first awhile back my truk was having shifting problems it would downshift twice while going about 55 or so and it was my tps sensor that went out well a year or so later which is now it di it again but I I figured out that I knocked the adjustment arm off so I adjusted it and it's fixed but now when I'm going like 45 to 50 and let off the gas but not completely every once in awhile I will keep downshiftin anyone have any idea?? And also is it possible at all to change how my transmission shifts?? And what exactly controls the transmission and tells it when to shift? I just ordered a new transmission and it will be put in Monday unless another delay comes up but you think that putting a new one in might fix it? Thanks guys!

Ok so I replaced the tranny and I can't tell if it's doing it every once in awhile or not.... I'll speed up and get to like 65 or so let off and wait til about 50 or so and and step back on the gas and instead of shifting it keeps the rpms up for a a couple seconds then shifts instead of right away I was told to let the new tranny get all lubed up and everything for a few days then check back

I've got a new, fully built Goerend's in my truck too. It's a great trans but, some info got mis-communicated along the way and it didn't come with shifting setup I expected. So, just because it's a Goerends, it doesn't mean the setup is the best for your truck.
In my case, I talked to Dave, and they sent some different springs and explained how to adjust the VB to get the setup I wanted. Yours may require adjustments too.
Overdrive and TC locking are controlled by the TPS. If they happen too low, you need an adjustment or replacement. The TV cable along with line pressure will effect your full throttle shifting. If you can't get it high enough with the cable, then you need stronger springs or shims in the VB. There is also an adjustment on the VB for low speed shifting. My trans required all of the above, so yours might too.
