No worries Tiremann, just hoping to find someone soon so I know I can turn this beast. Also need to have that sorted out before I work on the front links.

Wow! What an amazing build! Got any more pics by chance? Specifically of the suspension... some of the older ones seem to not be showing up any more.

Crap I need to figure out the photos again, we updated the build website a while back and few photos got different names so the links died. I will try to upload more photos of the suspension, I am assuming you are talking about the new one I am building.

Benjamin, I purchased the heim joints from Air Bag It, the mounts came from them, but I modified most of them. The bags are from them as well. I will be having them make the mounts for the front as well (they sent one, but it seemed a bit light weight for my truck).

Yeah I have been very happy with them so far. Good looking welds, my mounts were custom so you will not see it on their site... but they accomodated my needs and did it out of 1/4" plate.

I am still here as is the truck... And still trying to figure out how to steer the beast. Unfortunately until I get that sorted out I can not do much more on the front end. May need to raise the engine in the bay, widen the front axle, move the front cross supports... not sure but hope to get something figured out soon.

I joined this form for this trend. I have always wanted a vintage fire truck, untill recently I decided to do a street rod fire truck, everyone restores them to original (boring) . I want to take a 1939/40 dodge or Plymouth regular sized truck, extend the box prob like 3 feet, and heighten it like 1 foot just enough to fit the leaders and stuff on the side but small enough so it dosent have that tall bulky look of the old fire trucks. I also plan on chopping the roof a little to give it a slick look. Then for the big part I want to putt a cummins in it. I plan on using a 98 I have for the engine and using the frame as well.i would love to see this trend continue, and more pics. I'm very interested in seeing the fire wall and floor as you finalize them so I can get my creative juices flowing.
