I may have figured it out!! What about hydraulic ram assist cross link steering?? Legal for the roads and with the two steering systems working in coordination I will have plenty of power to move the tires.

So what do you think, have you done this and which system would you use?

I am still here, the truck is still not finished :-( I am actually getting back into it and am going to see what $10K can do to get it driving. I relocated to Las Vegas Nevada and no longer have a place to work on it.
I am looking for shops that can finish the suspension, steering, compound turbo tubing, custom radiator and all the other aspects related to getting it driving.
I also need someone to build up the engine with or for me.

I really want to get this done!

Look up a guy from TurboDieselRegister.com named Joe Donnelly in Henderson,NV. He'll know everyone you need to know, and everywhere you need to go.

Thank you, I was able to find someone in the Portland Oregon area so I did not need to haul everything down here.

The truck is now in the capable hands of No Limit Engineering, unfortunately the motor rusted inside while it was stored in the barn. The project got a little more expensive.

We were able to locate a new motor, it was not horribly priced and it will be nice to have a new motor to start from.
I am still waiting for photos, but it sounds like the truck is coming along now.
