I have a thread for the part out, I have been parting it out.

Anyone have thoughts or suggestions on the suspension?

Well I am still trying to plug away at the truck, I have a second job now taking up my time and without knowing exactly how to do all of this stuff it is taking forever to get this done.

Keep it up man!!! The truck looks like its coming along great!! I think you are going great and you should keep at it. I do not know if you take requests, but would you mind posting a video of it in a walkaround and one when you get it running. Have you decided on a paint scheme yet? I am sure you already have a million ideas filling your head at an alarming rate, but I would do my favorite truck color on that classic: Oil Slick Black

Here is a pic of this shade on an ugly car, but it would give you an idea of it's characteristics: What do you think?

I am looking at a sort of similar color it would be the one from a Nissan Morano it is a very dark metallic blue. The wheels in a light tan (the vintage looking yellowish one), Interior seats have been upholstered in a distressed leather that is medium brown reddish in color (hard to describe) but very cool looking.

Since I am needing to re-do the floor again and this time I will have a tranny hump in the floor I may do a tunnel console for gauges and accessories. I planned to keep a more stock flat floor look with no console, but that is not possible with this huge transmission.

I will do a walk around vid, once I get the links and suspension on so I can roll it out of the shop and actually walk around it (it is cramped quarters now).

Sorry to hijack the thread but who in thier right mind thinks a Grand National is an ugly car It might not be a 69 Camaro but it's one of the better lookin cars from it's era

im not a fan of them. when i see one all i think is dirt track car all there good for in my books. same as camaro's of that era.

And back to topic… I started the lower frame links today and am happy with the way they are coming out thus far. I wish I had a shear, I use the angle grinder for everything. I was able to make a few of the cuts on the band saw but in reality the parts were so hard to clamp down the cuts were not square and took much longer than if I had just grabbed the angle grinder.

So now I at least have most of the parts figured out, I have the drivers side parts about halfway cut for the uppers and lower frame links. The upper rear axle link is still tacked and seems to be correct, the lower link is planned and ready to tack on. I will put together one side, check it and then do the other side.

I am starting to wonder what this truck will weigh when I am done, the lower link on one side is over 67lbs, I keep adding hundreds of pounds of .25” plate, huge transmission, compound turbos, both diesel and WVO systems, full audio video system, a lift gate… At least it has HUGE disc brakes front and rear, and will have about 500Hp and a transmission that can handle over 80,000 lbs. The air ride suspension will also help because regardless of the weight I can ride on a cushion of air.

Well another 3 days at job #2 then back to job#1 and more time for working on the truck.
