1939 Dodge 1.5 Ton Flatbed Build thread

Yes, that is the one. Sounds like one of the largest shows in the country, so it should be fun! Hopefully we will sell like crazy and make some money to pay for the trip
Yeah it is about that if I go straight there, I had planned to go to through Cali first, and make it into a road trip/ Tour but with the delays in time it may be a turn and burn trip. We have another show in Portland after it. I think it will be about 5,000 miles on the truck in 20 days. I know that is nothing for the long haul truckers on here, but a fair amount for a hand built truck built by a guy who has never worked on a truck before
You should come by the show... I may be able to give you a discount on tickets if you want.

I am thinking about twins for the truck, ran across a turbo that is huge, planning to spool withe the HX35W that I already have from the truck.
SO what are your thoughts on this turbo, good bad ugly?
Air Reseach turbo. Stamped .95 A/R on the cold side, 1.84 on the turbine side. The compressor side wheel is 75mm ind and 97mm exd. Turbine side is 110mm and 97mm.
THANKS!

I might just do that. Be cool to check your project out in person. God knows you'll have plenty of room to park it in there! The IX Center is HUGE! 2.2 million square feet!
It used to be a General Motors factory and was used to build bombers during World War II as the Cleveland Bomber Plant. For a time, it built the wing assembly for the B-29, then the experimental XP-75.
It later served for many years as a tank factory. The M41 Walker Bulldog, M56 Scorpion, M114, the MOG Howitzer, and the M551 Sheridan were built there too.
To give you an idea of the size of that place, there's a 125 foot high Ferris Wheel INSIDE the building!
