Thank you!!

Well I went out and got the big tank for welding, and went to work on the frame rails... The wife came out a few hours later and wondered why the valves were all white and fuzzy. OOPS I guess I went too long and the valves froze up, which may explain the welds getting worse, I thought it was just because I am light headed from the fumes. So now I have to kill some time and let the frame cool, and the bottle heat up.

elledge12, if you do come down let me know so you can see the project in person or if you are here after the end of the year you can see the finished truck (I hope). I will be up there on Turkey day.

sounds good.

I still have a lot of work left, I am just hopeful that it will start to go faster soon. I finished maybe 1/3-1/2 of the welds on the frame rails today.
so I still need to finish that welding, clean and paint,
the 4-link is still all in pieces that need to be installed both front and rear.
install all 6 pairs of airbag mounts
The Liftgate needs to be cleaned, welded on to the truck, then painted
Build the whole flatbed
all of the bodywork for the sheetmetal, prime and paint
weld the passanger seat mounts,
build a console
build the firewall
clean, and paint the engine
Overhaul engine and trans
install and build the whole AV system
Wire the truck up (everything)
run new fuel and brake lines
build the heater and AC system, then mount
rebuild the gauges to work with the cummins
install and fabricate the passanger door latch and locks
fabricate the door pannels and install
Install headliner
locate, purchase and install new rear calipers
rebuild front and rear axle seals
Locate 2 more 22.5" rims
clean and paint all 7 rims
have tires installed

build, purchase and install a whole WVO system, new tanks, lines, everything

I am sure I am missing a bunch of other stuff, but that is what I can come up with off the top of my head.

Sad HOUSE FIRE!

So I went out for dinner last night, and around 9 we got a frantic call that our condo was on fire. We rushed home and found the busy street in front of the building blocked off by fire and and police.

I think it was about 6 firetrucks! The fire started in the attic of the unit above me which I own as well... It was an electrical fire, the new furnace is a total loss, the new carpets ruined, the 1 month old roof destroyed, ceilings were knocked down, the entire place was wet and soggy. That unit I had rented out so it will be interesting trying to pay for everything without that income.

To make matters worse the unit I live in was raining inside, we had just spent over a year rebuilding the entire unit, everything was brand new. They took my gas meter so I have no way to heat the place up and dry it out, we are supposed to have snow this week, so I may get more water damage and freezing pipes.

By Midnight they finally had the fire contained, the electrical meters were pulled out and the gas meter was removed, so we got to pack up the dog and cat and go to my parents house for the night. The animals were still freaked out so I am working on maybe an hour of sleep. Looks like I get to waste time trying to fix up the house, deal with contractors, the utility companies and the insurance company for the upstairs, I do not have insurance on the unit I live in downstairs.

Owh isn't life grand!

I know I have been asking for help on the build and know everyone is very busy, but anything you can do would help a ton! I am starting to stress out with all of the crap life is throwing my way and trying to still finish the truck.

Hope all of you are well!
