I have a 95 cummins and my lock up is not working, I found a trans out of a 99 but don't know for sure that it will work. I guess what I am asking does anyone know if it will work in the truck and will I have to change anything.

 

This will not be a direct bolt in. The 95 shoud have an 47RH and the 99 will have a 47RE. I dont know the details here - but you will have to do some wiring at the very least

 

the tranny will bolt up but the valve bodies are different and the 99 is computer controled and your 95 is a mechincal for the most part, lock-up and od are the only two things electric on the 95

Put a manual valvebody on it. Just be warned smoking a cigarette talking on the phone working switches it's tricky.
