or it could just be your tranny in general cus i've got a stock one i've just got a 600 hp torque converter thrown on it and im pushing 1200 rpms at 50 miles an hour. but mine does the same thing yours says it does and it's been that way forever especially with the acceleration when pulling something heavy. those switches would probably be something good to look into though

opps i let out a line in my last post,
lock up is wired on a monentary switch which is hook into a relay set up, thats hook into the brake lights, that way when you step on the brakes it takes it out of lock up

Hmmmm what exactly causes it tti do that? There has to be someday to change it and yeah say your cruising 60 and you still keep your foot on the accelerator and with your left foot tap the brake it changes

if you install the lock up switch you wont have to worry about the brakes unlocking it anymore.

well when you wire the switches in if you dont "cut" em and just splice into them then the truck will shift like normal when you dont flip the switches. then it would just allow you to shift it sooner and keep it locked up until you flipped the switch to off
