axle seal
Is there not 2 seals per side? Inboard one and outboard one? I have not done this myself but I believe you have to pull the axle out. Big job for the inbaord one anyway.

i only see the one way in side the tube
Like most Dana axles, you get to pull everything, then use a long rod (piece of pipe) to drive the seal out from the opposite side.
The bad news is that you have to pull the axles and carrier to do this. The good news is that you do not have to set them up again -- just re-install in the same order with the shims in the same place and your pattern should be good.
This is just a nuts and bolts fix, but it does scare a lot of people, because it seems like some sort of magic happens inside the cover of an axle and it just plain scares folks away.

thanks it aint that hard to pull the carrier but i said the heck with it and ran the old seal cuz after putting the ball joints in and doing the brakes i didnt feel like going throug the head aches.
Right side easy left side you have to pull the carrier also suspect you'll be going back in if you dont cause of the dirt in the tube when reinstalling axle real easy to drag new dirt onto sealing surface and if its wet its already going bad
