Default tps question again

so i was only getting .59 volts full throttle. bored holes out and rotated tps. only got .62 that time around. put in brand new battery's and just bored mounting holes out as far as i could go to rotate tps to its farthest point. buddy has my volt meter so i can't verify the numbers at the moment. if numbers are not better than a .85 what would be the next route to go? thanks alot!

The spec is 1.0 volts plus/minus 0.2, so you'd be good down to 0.8 volts. If you don't get at least 0.8 volts or if it doesn't fix whatever issue you're having (I'm assuming trans shifting problems), the next step would be to replace it (assuming you already tried cleaning it).

so i took it for a drive and no better. noticed on dash charging it is at about 9 or 10 at a idle and around 12 or 13 when when really moving. should it not be at 14? could it be the crank positioning sensor or a weak alternator? going to clean and re gap sensor and check with volt meter to see what numbers are at full throttle. yeah i cleaned it with electical contact cleaner and checked the alternator ground and even wrapped the wire to eliminate any noise, so we will see!

Definitely sounds like you have some electrical gremlins. I've heard that the crank position sensor could be a culprit for problems like that. I would say that if your system isn't at correct voltage, that could def. be your problem with the TPS.

should run 14 with the grid heaters off. sounds like you need to fix the charging system then attack the tps
