hey just swaped my cab out on my 97 for a 2000 cab it was easy. i started at 8 pm and had my cab down to a bare cab and bare frame by 12. ur vin number on your dash so just use your dash. have to use the newer seats cause the seat belts are in them and ur heater box. let me knw need and info

 

yeah, the vin # is what counts. i just took my inspection class the other day. regarding engine swaps and special circumstances it would be best to conact your local dps office because they have the final say for every single circumstance. including hood stacks, whether they are "legal" or would even pass inspection. i was told that hood stacks must exit above the top most part of the vehicle and still have a cat and muffler. but little does dps know most older diesels came with "resonators"
