Default Transmision or engine problems?

Hi, I am new here, and I have problems.
I have 97 Dodge 2500 4x4 automatic trans, 109.000km, valves adjusted, timing up, catalytic converter removed, Fuel Plate moved, and I do not have power. Truck wont spin tires on gravel. Years ago my pump's 3/16 lever adjuster brock, and I replace it with out special adjustments - by eye. It was working so so, with less power, but now I am running into some thing els.
I am pulling 26" fifth wheel trailer, 9000lb, and after 4.000 kilometers on the road, I did trans flush, and ask for all check up, and bands adjustment on it. Service man told me that my trans is like new, and that I am babying it, and all is fine.
600 kilometers after, I was experiencing shaking of engine, something like when you are having a standard trans, and you are in to high gear - lagging. This happened in third gear and 65 - 70 klicks on the highway trying to speed up and pulling a trailer. I disengage overdrive, and that helped. But after 50 kilometers same thing happend, when trans shift in to overdrive, at 80 -85 klicks, and my foot was pushint gas pedal to speed up to 100 klicks. Easing up on gas pedal, and slowly going up in speed helped me to get 100 and more on level road. I don't have that hammering noise of diesel engine with full power.
Driving truck empty, have same problem. When overdrive or torque converter locks (I think is converter) at 75 klicks, and I try to speed up, it dos same thing, but this time is not that bad like pulling trailer, but is there. My rpm and speedo are not moving, but engine is bucking, and shaking. After last comping trip, I add a half of Lucas trans fix, but that did not fix problem. Check the boost: 21 - 23 psi, with normal pressure gage.
More info if needed.

Thanks 95cumminsguy for your quick reply.
I do not have a problem with starting, but in cool mornings I have a lot of smoke.
Running on synthetic oil, and all new filters. Is there a possibility that my trans is slipping in 4 gear? It shifts threw nice and smooth, but at the end looks like engine dos not have a power. What would happen if AFC diaphragm has a leak, or overflow valve is not holding?
What kind of symptoms would be for these problems? I would like to know what to check beside of timing.
Thanks for the future info guys

I believe it's timing also, fuel filter could be plugged, I highly doubt it's the filter, if you're getting smoke, it's getting fuel. I would check timing first.

Sounds like your rattling the stock torque convertor.
What type of trans fluid did you put in it when you did the service on the trans?.

Thank you for your suggestions, and looks like I have to go to shop to check, and adjust timing. Tag on engine show 14* for timing, and CPL 2174. I am pulling fifth wheel trailer, so what is your suggestion for best timing? I had it in shop set to 16*, but maybe they did not do a good job.
Because of poor power performance senc 40000km, I was questioning trans oil before, but trans shop - National Transmissions is reputable shop, and I believe they know what they doing. I will give them a call, and ask to see what are they using. Is there a special oil for 97 dodge trans?
By the way, I order this truck with heavy duty service package. I did not see HP on engine tag - it is so small, and crowded, but CPL and timing is right.
