What benefit will you see from removing them?

Just wondering if it was worth it. As a guy I know has recently learned. Deletes and relocations aren't always BETTER...

The main reason to get rid of them would be leaks.

mine have been off for over a year with no issues and will easly start in 19* weather. My timing was at 22*

Is there a difference in the filter construction?

We have radial prefilters and full deep flow fine filters. It does make sense to keep the prefilter because the surface of the radial takes much longer to clogg then the fine deep flow.
So you would have to change your fine filter more often.

But I know that only from the Mogs and Mercedes semis. I don't know if this is transferable to Cummins engines.
