The pump don't have to come off? I'm goin through Bout 1 gallon a week an gettin worse. I'm not sure how to do this but there is a first time for everything right...

put the timing pin in place on the injector pump, cummins mechanics have a nice little trick. somehow or another they take a block of wood as a spacer and pinch the gear against the housing. it holds the gear in place without it skipping teeth or changing the "clock" position. saves them about 8 hours on the job; assembly and disassembly when removing a pump... but they still get paid for it...

Another question but its not about oil leak. My '95 dodge running about 65, 70 mph, rmps an around about 2400. My question is, is ther anything i could do to drop the rpms. It's a automatic???

Ya I did mine by just pinning after working out the Valve lash then marked the harmonic balancer on the tps an it worked great. Go ahead and do the Mack plug while you have it off and gsk since you can reach the springs easy now. Just my 2 cents. Took me around 12 hours total in between running to town for parts and asking a cummins mechanic in town
