15-16* is a good place to start before head studs

yeah im not looking to do head studs quite yet so 16 should be safe? of at least on the safe side i know nothing is for sure with these trucks haha. will it be beneficial to bump timing to 16 lets say if my truck is 14 stock will it be worth the time. the reason im asking is lately ive begun to think my timing has slipped a little bit, after my nv4500 swap there is no doubt im in need of gsk but in first and second sometimes it pops and cracks a little bit or at least till warmed up completely.

16 is good for stock, 16.5 should be okay too. Realize that its not gonna be exact, so shoot lower than your max so you don't have to do it again when it moves a little bit.
