so i did my head gasket and put gauges in. before i did my head gasket i would blow lots of smoke and my turbo would bark often when i let off. now my turo spools right up and i blow a lot less smoke and it never barks. my thoughts are i had a boost leak somewhere and wasnt pushin full boost so it smoked. but if i wasnt pushin as much boost then why would it have barked then and not now?

 

what does your boost gauge read now

 

highest i can get is about 38.

 

could be your wastegate sticking does it sound like, air coming back thru? choo choo sound

 

now it sounds normal. before it was barking.

 

have seen the nut on the compressor wheel spinn off barking
