Alright not sure this is the right place for this but does any one know anything about these trannys i can get a four speed automantic allison tranny off a another 12 valve for 500$ would this be good for my truck or should i just save my money to build my truck.

 

Is the tranny built at all or is it a stock allison. if not no need to buy another tranny and have to build it, just save your money and get a good torque converter and valvebody and a rebuild kit.

 

I didn't no if maby the allison would be stouter or amby not have to be built.

 

i think they are stronger, ive seen them in cummins powered school busses

 

allisons are just like any other tranny when you throw more horse power then stock at them at stock hp levels they are tanks....

 

So i would probably be better of just getting mine built.

 

Get yours built. The A545 Allison you are looking at is a 4 speed, no Overdrive. Top gear is 1:1.
