Default oil filter

hey i run mobile 1 m1- 403 is this a good oil filter or is there better ones? how often you guys think the filter shuld be chaged cuz ive been running 10k on ams oil and 5k on these filters, any thoughts

Your current practice is just fine. Any other filter and you would want to do the same thing, unless you decided to use the amsoil filter, then you can go as long as your oil.

how much are ams oil filters? what is the micron rating and efficiency of that filter?
i called Mobil once and all they would tell me is the efficiency

I like the Fleetguard Stratapore (LF3894) myself. Fleetguard is a sister company of Cummins.

Big fan of the fleetgaurd and amsoil, i think amsoil filter are around 20 bucks give or take, cant remember off the top of my head.

I use all fleetguard always. Thats one thing i guess im pretty brand loyal on. I Dont trust NAPA or anything else. Napa rep told me that they were cummins approved but couldn't show me where it stated so i said no-thnx. probably its a good filter but ive always ran fleetguard for everything.

The amsoil filter is 98% absolute efficient at 15 microns. Most aftermarket filters are around 20-25. Many state their "nominal" rating which might say 8-10 or something like that, but that's nominal.

x2 LF3894 is only 14 bucks at the local Case dealer.
